Alabama – Matthew and Patricia Ayers will live out the rest of their lives in prison after having been given the maximum sentence of a combined 2,340 years, following their conviction for over 100 counts of producing child pornography.

U.S. District Judge L. Scott Coogler, who ruled in the couple’s case, called this “the worst case I have personally dealt with, including murders.”

The Alabama couple pleaded guilty to child pornography charges in June after victimizing a minor in their custody for three and a half years – between the summer of 2010 to January 2013, the Conservative Tribune reported.

Patricia Ayers was given 1,590 years in prison for 53 counts of producing child pornography and Matthew was sentenced to 750 years for 25 counts of the same crime.

In their plea agreement both Ayers acknowledged that they photographed the child in lewd and lascivious poses and that each took turns engaging in sex acts with the child while the other photographed the sick interactions, according to the report.
