The Philippine Red Cross, Bohol Chapter Search for Red Cross Queen 2010 has raised P618,165.50.
Some 29 municipalities out of the 47 in the province staked their candidates to the search, sharing their time, talent and treasures in the name of humanity.
Alberta B. Lagumbay, Municipal Social Development Officer of LGU Talibon won as Red Cross Queen 2010.
First runner up is Jojeline Ruiz Buendia as Queen Humanity of the municipality of Trinidad.
Other minor award winners were Rose P. Ente as Queen Impartiality of Pilar town; Ruth B. Boybanting as Queen Neutrality of Alicia; Aida R. Dumagan as Queen Independence of Batuan; Corazon, Manigque as Queen Voluntary Service of Carmen; Chita L. Torrejas as Queen Universality of Danao town; and Argie V. Piscos as Queen Unity of Antequera.
Bearing the theme "Bridging Lives", the event's proceeds is intended for the blood processing fees of blood screening to indigent patients who will go to the Red Cross Blood Bank to avail of the life-giving fluid.
The Board of Directors headed by its chairman, Cong. Erico B. Aumentado and the chairman of the search, Gov. Edgar M. Chatto extended their sincerest thanks to the candidates, municipalities, donors, benefactors and to those who in one way or another have given their support for the success of the search.
Other participating municipalities were San Miguel, Sierra Bullones, Balilihan, Tubigon, Mabini, Anda, Valencia, Duero, Buenavista, Sagbayan, Loon, Guindulman, Bien Unido, Ubay, Maribojoc, Cortes, Getafe, Jagna, Carlos P. Garcia, San Isidro and Dauis.
