I read about the Ancient Greeks and emphasis on satisfying treatment of the Epicurians and the Stoics. On basis of Greek Philosophy:
So it seems that Philosophy first rejected the gods, then searched for the perfect state and justice, then searched for a means to find happiness, and failing all that, returned to God. How do you like that!
