He revealed that despite warnings and admonitions from his wife and family to live his life easy and spend his winnings wisely, he gave away money to friends and complete strangers, gambled away and drowned himself drank to his heart's content.
And just when he found himself broke and sold his property to pay his debts, he had to have a heart surgery without a centavo on his hands and had to thank the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office for shouldering the hospital bills.
