Hello Manong Oliver,

God bless you for this noble desire to build a shelter for the homeless. We will help you plan out this project.

For now, we are all lamenting for the sudden death of our dear friend, Aya (Orchids). She was 36. She was one of our pioneers, a darling friend to all of us here.

After our mourning days, we will discuss your plan.

Thank you Sir.

Im sure its going to take a lot of planning, but as long as we have the budget, we can build it. My main concern after getting it done is- how can we make it self sufficient financially. This is the biggest hurdle i see. One way is to raise continuing pledges, or perhaps develop a self supporting plan by utilizing its assets. I don't know yet.. i ll keep beating my head..

hof,
Im based in the US, and location in Bohol is not important unless we can utilize our lands in Central Calape. I am also involve with ANM, supporting Christian missions in the PI. There is a tremendous need financially with the missionaries, ranging from building churches, transportation needs, repairs, etc. This is a world wide mission,  bbut i was led more to our own people.
Timing, im not sure, if i can get enough thrust with support to get this going. Im praying, and need your help. I can assure u there are many hungry children at home, battered wives, broken families, abused children .....
 together we can help

Tagbilaran has already a woman and childrens center located close to the LTO in Catugasan Dist.

I am not sure on what are the current stats on who or what type of victims are there at current.

But as many children and people here and the start of homeless families living on the streets in soiled clothes depending on kind hand outs you would think that the Catholic Religeon in how controlllling that it is here would have an IOda of heart to take concern for they're poor and homeless.

I know at present at the new wave duncan donuts that there is a starving mother alongside of her son who sleep right outside at night in front of the duncan donut and the new Cebu Air entrance. She and her son wear the same clothes every day and night.
The people here say she is crazy because she laughs all the time?

Is that really laughter or that from being put into the state of mind she is in from proverty?

It is not so funny to be considered crazy by your brother's and sister's of the same faith because you are poor and desperate and homeless.

Many just walk past her and diregard her?

The cathedral is just across the street. You think the church would allow her to pray in her filthy condition do you think the church could have a clothes run to help cover her and her son up?

Precious, I am so sure the church will allow her to pray in her "filthy condition", as you say.  As to the church providing clean clothes, I think we as people and believers of Christ Jesus should do that since we are part of the church, Catholics or not.  The church is the people.  Here in America, I have seen more homeless than there in Bohol.  People in decent clothes begging and most of the time demanding money from passersby.  People with decent vehicles come to our weekly Feeding and they got to bring home food that can feed them for the rest of the week. It's just too bad we do not have enough people to donate resources to help our needy people.

I appreciate that you thought of giving clean clothes to this mother and son.  I am sure these people will appreciate you and may not be able to thank you enough, for sure they will thank God for sending you to them.  God bless you, Precious!
