Mangayo kog mga tampo nga unusual first names nga injong nahibaw-an, sama pananglit gi-combine ang ngalan sa amahan ug inahan. Akong nahibaw-an, naay ubang nasod nga perting katradisyonal, dili ka makapatakag hatag og binag-ong ngalan kon imong iparehistro imong anak.

Thanks, Dong!

Unja, unsay tawag ninjo sa mga lalaki? "Hoy, the Third, dali ngari!"

Naa man sila ilang lain-lain na angga - Jun-jun, Otik and Dongkoy.  ug ambot ngano na Otik ug Dongkoy kana.

Among ika 13, her named is Mari Teressee.  We call her Terter but most of the older people call her Teressee or 13.

My grandfather's name is Rustico, my grandmother's name is Luz.

So they named all their kids according to the first letter of their names. The boys have names that begin with the letter R, and the girls with the letter L.

Rico, Roy, Roger, Ray, Renee

Lebeth, Louella

hehe. cute pood.

Very nice names indeed. Naa bitaw mga pulong nato nga nindot himoong first name. Diha koy nailhan nga gibunjagan og Amihan.

I think in most countries in Europe, ang Filipino child nga gipanganak didto nga iparehistro with a strange name, kinahanglan mohatag ang ginikanan og certification gikan sa Philippine embassy o consulate nga acceptable nang ngalana under Philippine law.

Joke time:

NAGPABUNJAG

Magtiajon nagpabunjag sa ilang anak….

Amahan: Padre, magpabunjag mi sa among anak.
Pari: Unsay ingalan nato sa bata?
Amahan: TOYOTA, Dre.
Pari: TOYOTA? Ngalan man nag awto! Dili na pwede!
Amahan: Nganong di man tawon pwede, Dre? Ahong nanay, MERCEDES man lagi ijang ngalan?

[Nahimut-okan ang pari. Wala dajon katingog.]

Pari: OK, hala, kon maoy injong gusto! Pero unsay atong gamiton pagbunjag? GASOLINA o KRUDO?

 ;D ;D ;D

Bitaw, diha man koy classmate kaniadto nga laki, bungoton ra ba jud, pero ijang pangalan kay Jennifer.

Naa koy kaila taga Cabilao nga lalaki, iyang ngalan Gladys. Dili ni siya b***t.

Naa pud koy kauban sa trabaho, babaye, nga taga Baclayon. Ang iyang ngalan ug angga is "Mylove". . . naa juy cellphone nga mokagay!  Ug di ba madunggan nimo imong bana nga motubag sa telepono og "Hello, Mylove" . . . unsa kahay imong reaction.

. .  miabot man tingali nig Doce.

I remember when we had the celebration for the Feast of Santo Nino in my Maninoy's house last year, alot of Valencianons were there, and bolanons. Most of my clan members were there and there was one man, a Tito of mine, came and asked me, "Doy, doy, apo ba ka ni Nong Ciano (referring to my lolo Casiano Salvo)"

Katawa pood sila kai long time na kono since they saw me. Bata pa kono ko when they saw me in Valencia back in 1989 or 1990 ba to'.

Then i just joined their convo. My maninoy, Dr. Owen Chui, would tell me the stories of the old bygone days. And one Tito referred to my Uncle Jun, as "Doy Ciano"

i laughed and smiled with glee.
Then naka remember pood ko that my Uncle Jun's full name is : Casiano Salvo Jr.
hahahaha

Lolo is: Nong Ciano
and uncle Jun is : Doy Ciano.

hahahaha cute.

Kon naay sagul-sagol nga global listing sa mga ngalan, dili mailhan ang Pinoy, kay either English or Spanish man.  Unlike Koreans (Kim, Park, Jung, Kyong), Chinese (Tan, Lao), Malaysians (Bai, Bin), Vietnamese (Tung, Ly, Truong),  Indonesian (Dewi, Sukarno, Suharto) Icelandic (Bjornsdottir, daghan ni kaayo all ending in "dottir"), Japanese (Yamamoto, Tanakawa), Thai (Apichart, Chaipak, Pluemchitt), Indian (Shankar, Khan, Aishwarya, Anoop, Sajid), etc.

We have many real and actually used Filipino first names and last names like: Dakila, Himaya, Maya, Mutya, Magtanggol, etc. Sa Batangas daghang apelyido nga nagsugod og "Dima -", like Dimayacyac, Dimaano, Dimasupil, Dimatanto, Dimaculangan, etc.  The longest Tagalog last name I have encountered is "Carilimriliman", which means the "darkest" (part of the house, for example).

Dinhi sa Bohol daghan kaayo ta'g mga last names nga sa ato-a lang, sama sa:

Agad                          Dalagan                        Bajao                          Oppus
Laway                        Lood                             Bonggot                      Bonggay
Banluta                      Bukag                           Maniwang                    Hangad
Jipos                          Datahan                       Ampo                            Araoarao
Calacat                      Dagala                          Libot                            Baliling

And I have an uncle with the last name of Cagubcub, from CDO, Mindanao.

Also, late last year, there was one news that caused quite a stir because a cake shop refused to inscribe the name of the boy in his birthday cake.  The 3-year old boy's name?  Adolf Hitler.

Kon naay sagul-sagol nga global listing sa mga ngalan, dili mailhan ang Pinoy, kay either English or Spanish man.  Unlike Koreans (Kim, Park, Jung, Kyong), Chinese (Tan, Lao), Malaysians (Bai, Bin), Vietnamese (Tung, Ly, Truong),  Indonesian (Dewi, Sukarno, Suharto) Icelandic (Bjornsdottir, daghan ni kaayo all ending in "dottir"), Japanese (Yamamoto, Tanakawa), Thai (Apichart, Chaipak, Pluemchitt), Indian (Shankar, Khan, Aishwarya, Anoop, Sajid), etc.

We have many real and actually used Filipino first names and last names like: Dakila, Himaya, Maya, Mutya, Magtanggol, etc. Sa Batangas daghang apelyido nga nagsugod og "Dima -", like Dimayacyac, Dimaano, Dimasupil, Dimatanto, Dimaculangan, etc.  The longest Tagalog last name I have encountered is "Carilimriliman", which means the "darkest" (part of the house, for example).

Dinhi sa Bohol daghan kaayo ta'g mga last names nga sa ato-a lang, sama sa:

Agad                          Dalagan                        Bajao                          Oppus
Laway                        Lood                             Bonggot                      Bonggay
Banluta                      Bukag                           Maniwang                    Hangad
Jipos                          Datahan                       Ampo                            Araoarao
Calacat                      Dagala                          Libot                            Baliling

Interior part ni mostly sa Bohol. Kay ang daplin sa dagat mixed Spanish man ang last name.
