Canada Permanent Residency in 6 to 12 months( an email from a friend which might be of interest to you)

In 2008, the Canadian government made sweeping changes in its immigration policy and introduced several legislations aimed at reducing the backlog and getting key immigrants in the country much faster.

·         The introduction of Canadian Experience Class as an immigration category for Canada's temporary foreign workers and international graduates who wish to become Permanent Residents.

·         Bill C-50 gives Minister of Immigration the power to set the number of new applications giving priority to qualified skilled professionals applying under the economic class categories.

·         The new Federal Skilled Worker Class applications should receive a selection decision within 6 to 12 months; a far-cry from the old system of 5 to 6 years.

The new economic class category rules will affect all new applications as well as all applications submitted on or after February 27, 2008.

To qualify for admission to Canada as a skilled worker, without an approved offer of employment, applicants must meet the following conditions:

·         Possess at least one year of applicable experience in one of 38 major high-demand occupations

·         The work experience must be classified within Skill Type 0 (Managerial Occupations), Skill Level A (Professional Occupations), or Skill Level B (Technical Occupations and Skilled Trades)

·         Score sufficient points under the skilled worker point grid comprising of six selection factors

·         Possess suitable settlement funding

·         Undergo a successful security background and medical examination.

Please note that the labor market continues to evolve and the Canadian government and its provincial ministers are periodically evaluating the chosen 38 occupations. With this mandate, occupation/s may be added or deleted depending on the labor market demand. Annual quota has also been imposed against this program. If your work is one of the qualifying occupations, it would be in your best interest to submit your application without delay to avoid new government policy.

To find out if you meet the requirements, kindly submit your comprehensive resume for evaluation. We will get back with you after our review.

Qualifying occupations may soon change. Submit your application NOW!
