Behave with civility
« on: March 29, 2008, 01:46:08 PM »
I can't post reply on the topic about T.B miracle regarding name calling and rude comment. There are many venues on the Internet where one may behave as uncharitably as one desires. T.B is not one of them for sure.We maybe disagree with other people opinion but thats other people opinion. It's important to remain cool. The T.B expect member to behave with civility. In practice this means striving to deliver our comments here with as much charity as we can muster.
It is very important to be more charitable with your nieghbors.

"Win an argument and lose a soul."
-- Bishop Fulton Sheen

"Love without truth would be blind; truth without love would be like 'a clanging cymbal.'"
-- Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, Homily

"Preach the gospel at all times, and, when necessary, use words."
-- St. Francis (attributed)

"You know well enough that our Lord does not look so much at the greatness of our actions, nor even at their difficulty, but at the love with which we do them."
-- St. Therese of Lisieux

"Though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could move mountains, but have not charity, I am nothing.... Love does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil.... Love bears all things ... endures all things. So faith, hope, charity abide, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."
-- St. Paul (1 Cor. 13:2, 5, 7, 14)

"Always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who calls you to account for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and reverence."
-- St. Peter (1 Pet. 3:15; RSV-CE)

Thank you for posting this, Ms Raquel. This is greatly appreciated.

Although I haven't read any post from the TB Miracle thread, there must have been a good reason why the topic got locked.

With regards to behaving with civility, isn't it funny that the people who don't are the same ones who "misbehave" over and over again? An apt term would be, repeat offenders?

Who was it who said, you are what you repeatedly do? So, if a person is rude towards others constantly, would it be safe to say that his/her rudeness is not because he/she is simply having a bad day or going through some weird be-rude-to-others phase?

If a person is constantly rude, it would be reasonable to conclude that his/her rudeness is an inherent trait. And that is incurable. It is like a virus. A virus of the soul, if you will.

Amen, Raquel.

Yours is a beautiful response, and your view point shows moral responsibility.

Salamat kaayo for sharing with us, my friend.

^Ms BeLLe, mas labaw pa sa AIDS, murag Krippin Virus na na, kadtong virus sa I AM Legend.

hehehehe

Bitaw, in a somewhat serious mode, a zebra doesn't change its stripes. In the same way, a person who is naturally and inherently rude will always stay that way. Just as a tiger will always be a predator, and a fish will always live underwater, a rude person will always be rude.

Lisod raba ning pent-up aggression, kadugayan mobuto jud...

last week btaw ms belle, one of our regular customers na admit sa emergency room,

days before, she had a pimple on her forehead, gi sige niya kutkot,

na infect ang pimple, nag nana, gi cge lang gihapon niya ug kutkot, hangtod nabuho jud iyang agtang!

her mom went to us to get prescriptions, and she brought her digicam to show us the pic of her daughter,

tinuod jud ms belle, there was a gaping hole in her head as big as a quarter,

now they have to do surgery on her to patch up the hole

Ms BeLLe, mo tagpilaw nako, but before I do, here's a recap of tonight's episode of the TB Soap Opera: Babangon Ako At Dudurugin Kita...

Abangan!
