Strong Typhoon Hits Japan

A typhoon has made landfall in Japan for the first time in two years, causing widespread disruption.

Reports say one person has been killed and more than 20 injured in strong winds and heavy rain.

Typhoon Melor struck south-west of Tokyo on the main island of Honshu, flooding roads, uprooting trees, and ripping roofs from houses.

Many flights and train services were suspended, stranding commuters in the morning rush-hour.

The car-maker Toyota halted production at factories in central Japan. - BBC

We were at the edge of the typhoon path, but the wind was still strong. You could see that Japan prepared for this calamity since the typhoon was first spotted headed in this direction--and issued warnings in advance. In fact, you say Japan's preparation is "overkill." But the result is minimal casualty and minor disruption in its on-the-dot mass transport system, highways and air travel. We can learn a lot from this country.

Naunsa naman ning kalibutan karon ?....diri sa Asia gilunop, linog, tsunami samtang sa Africa Safari-park (Kenya, death from starvation kay  tulo na ka tuig  nga way uwan, sugod nag kamatay ang mga hayop tawon.  :(  mao na ni resulta sa atong pagpasagad....Global warming!
