South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford has admitted having an affair with a woman in Argentina, but refused to answer questions about whether he would resign from office.

The conservative Republican governor from the southeastern US state made the admission at a press conference he had called to explain his mysterious disappearance over several days last week.

After detailing his previous adventure trips, "profound frustrations" and "emotional" exhaustion following the recent legislative session, he eventually acknowledged having an extramarital affair.

"So, the bottom line is this: I have been unfaithful to my wife," Sanford, 49, told a crush of reporters.

Sanford's admission comes in the wake of a similar revelation from another rising Republican star, Senator John Ensign of Nevada, who last Tuesday admitted cheating on his wife but did not resign his US seat. - AFP

He was caught in his sin, Scripture tells us that our sins will follow us. What we whisper in the dark and hide, it will be revealed in the rooftops. Meaning ani, what we plot, what we do that is erroneous and try to hide it--it will, eventually be revealed.

For the LORD GOD does not suffer the actions of the Wicked.

But since this man has humbled himself by pleading and asking for forgiveness, he has made the step that is very resounding. And I admire him, for his brevity, for his truthfullness when confronted. Romans 2:23 tells us, "For ALL fall short from the Glory of God." Meaning ani, that we will all sin. From lowest of positions to the elevated of positions. All shall sin, all are imperfect. None is spared. Not I, nor You.

We are called to forgive. Praying for one another. For the remission of Sins.

So I forgive this man. I forgive him, and do pray that he can heal this wound with his family. Forgiveness--and the healing process will take time. But my prayers are with him and his family. May the Lord God bless him, and comfort him.

No I do not forgive his actions she is a hot looking mama and his wife is still very beautiful lady indeed.

I do admire his brevity in announcing to the international world that he was enjoying in what i simply call MWIMB Missing While In Monkey Business! he he he he!!!

Now if this would have been a woman doing this to her husband I am sure more posters especially those of men would be on here brandishing her as a whore and whatever else.

I am a woman and I do hope to Pete's sake we do not think men can  look at this as an example and go out do this against their beautiful wives and children and come back and say I am sorry!?

No for me the marriage is over when sneaky Pete rubs his dirty feet in someone Else's bed sheets! ;<

In this case, Sanford, was perfected in weakness. In humiliation, he was perfected. Asking forgiveness and begging clemency.

We, as Chldren of Christ, for those who trust and believe in His Word, should listen.
