Lebanon's Minister of Foreign Affairs Adnan Mansour reiterated Saturday that Lebanon will continue to dissociate itself from Syrian events, the National News Agency reported.
Mansour said before heading to New York to attend UN General Assembly meetings that Lebanon still commits to its policy of dissociation. "We were right to adopt this policy because it is the right one for Lebanon as it benefits the country's national unity, security and stability."
He added that the Lebanese delegation, headed by Prime Minister Najib Miqati, will discuss the Arab and Lebanese situation with foreign and Arab officials in New York.
This year's UN General Assembly session is devoted to hot regional issues, namely those bearing on Syrian-Lebanese related agenda matters, according to Mansour.
