Damaging to the conflict ning vote ron.

How can the UN vote in favor of Palestine? Ni ang Palestine nga wa girecognize ang sovereignty sa Israel. Delikado ni.

dinhi ta lahi, bai tigs, bisag hardly ta lahi in some other issues.

about time palestine is recognized as israel is recognized.  both nations have a right to exist.  nangilog lang ang usa ug lunang sa usa (i.e., ang israelis sige ug build ug settlements sa lugar sa palestinians).

the two nations' relationship had always been complicated.  but i personally go for the underdog, which in this case is palestine.  aside from landgrabs, their water source, banking system, air space, etc., are all controlled by israel.  what kind of a country can exist with that kind of occupation?  that's why their place is called 'occupied territories'.

like the majority of countries in the world, the philippines had always voted for the existence of palestine.  it's something i take pride in.

let's look again at the countries that opposed this historic move:  Canada, Czech Republic, Israel, Marshall Islands, Micronesia (Federated States of), Nauru, Palau, Panama, United States.  four of these are surefire lackeys of the u.s.  they will do as the u.s. dictates.  (we would hate it if cambodia does the same as china dictates, to our own detriment as in the case of china's territorial claims.)  anyway:

Marshall Islands
land area: 181 km2
population: 68,000

Federated States of Micronesia
land area: 702 km2
population: 111,000

Nauru
land area: 21 km2
population: 9,378

Palau
land area: 459 km2
population: 20,956

except for nauru, whose currency is australian dollar, the rest all have the u.s. dollar as currency, donated by who else.

p.s. generally, these countries even look down on filipinos (as usual, with exceptions).  blame it on our unscrupulous recruiters who make the unsuspecting believe that going to these cute countries is a step in the direction of the u.s. mainland.  warning: it is far from the truth.
