There is no proven scientific connection to what I'm about to say...but if you have daughters, nieces, sisters etc, please do warn them to find alternative means of birth control before taking the pill.I will be turning 27 shortly and I have used the pill for birth control in the early stages of my marriage. It was only a relatively short time but when we decided to have children, I found out that I had PCOS and that I now cannot complete a cycle without medication.
My cycles were quite regular as a teenager, so was my metabolism. But after I had started messing up my body with hormones, it went haywire. Sure it had some cons, vanity wise, but I would rather have children after being married for 6 years now.
I have a sneaking suspicion the pill had something to do with it but I can't find any literature to say otherwise. I just know I was a regular 31 day cycle girl and now I have to take a cocktail of meds for me to induce a full cycle.
