BREAKING: China vows cooperation with North Korea under an unspecified 'new situation.'
China's President Xi Jinping told North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that Beijing is ready to "build China-DPRK relations of friendship and cooperation" in a "new situation," according to the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
KCNA did not go any further detail about the "new situation." Some experts have cautioned that, with the world's attention focused on Russia's invasion of Ukraine, North Korea may seize the chance to launch long-range missiles (which it did today).
Meanwhile, China is conducting military drills in waters south of Taiwan which will last three days from Feb. 27.
