An English teacher at a Tucson high school has been arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with one of her male students.
Tucson police say in a statement released Monday night that 25-year-old Christie Elliot faces charges of luring a minor for sexual exploitation and sexual conduct with a minor.
Elliot taught at Empire High School, where she also is the cheerleading coach.
According to police, a parent found inappropriate messages on his son's cell phone in April and reported them to the school. A police investigation included search warrants and interviews, and concluded that the boy had an inappropriate sexual relationship with his English teacher. - azcentral.com
