Those who are in the work force will have to pay more taxes so
it will be distributed to the have-nots
Possible closures of rural hospitals and increase numbers of
unemployment due to less reimbursement of medical services
esp. on increase numbers of Medicaid patients
It will increase the cost for insurance companies, lead to more
government spending and bureaucratization
Although not often touted as such by proponents of the measure,
"healthcare reform" is the final phase of the massive social welfare
legislation initiated in the United States under Franklin D. Roosevelt
in the 1930's and drastically enlarged to include civil rights laws during
Lyndon B. Johnson's presidency. With this legislation, however, the
transformation of the American constitutional republic to a welfare-warfare
state will be nearly complete.
