Wellness tips if you’ve been working from home
« on: November 24, 2020, 04:17:49 AM »
If you’ve been working from home over the past few months, your morning routine has probably changed. Your work environment likely comes with a new set of distractions. Your home is also your office, as well as your gym, and you rarely leave it--which uncomfortably blurs the lines between work hours and non-work hours.

All of those factors can dramatically affect your mental health--even if, after three or four months, you think you’ve gotten the hang of working from home. Heidi Zak, co-founder and co-CEO of undergarment company ThirdLove, has been thinking a lot about that recently, both for herself and her 150 employees. In her latest Inc.com column, Zak describes the solution she and the team came up with: a company-wide “wellness week.”

The week started with a guest speaker’s virtual presentation on mental health in the workplace. There was also a session on handling stress, a virtual yoga class, a midweek day off, and more. “By taking it upon yourself as the leader to create the space for people to take care of themselves, connect with one another, and be more mindful about their own unique experiences, you are doing a lot more than just facilitating a week-long team-building event,” Zak writes.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
