The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) regional consular office 6 has warned of a recruitment scam that entices Filipinos to work in China.

DFA 6 officer-in-charge Florentino Granada recently received a communication from the Philippine Consulate General in Macau together with a clipping of a news article which warned Filipinos “to (be) beware of falling prey to unscrupulous parties who offer them jobs as household service workers, teachers or musicians in China.”

The advisory was issued to “warn all prospective Filipino overseas workers coming to Macau to be cautious not to be victimized by illegal recruiters,” Granada said.

He underscored that mainland China has a policy that prohibits foreign workers from working in its domestic-service sector even as he cited that this makes them vulnerable because they have no government protection.

Granada said that there have been reports of Filipinos working in China.

The Philippine embassy and the consulate general according to the news article that appeared in Macau Times have “observed an increasing number of cases of illegal recruitment of Filipinos.”

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
