A
Boholano judge is one of the recipients of the "
2009 Awards For Judicial Excellence" given by the Supreme Court to members in the judiciary who holds the integrity, competence and efficiency in the performance of their duties.
Executive Judge Sisinio C. Virtudazo of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) Tagbilaran City received the award during formal awarding ceremonies held at the session hall of the Supreme Court last Friday.
He is
the first Boholano to receive the prestigious award from the High Tribunal.
The
Jagna born judge garnered a passing mark for his "unassailable integrity, proven competence and efficiency, selfless public service, speedy disposition of cases, judicial decorum towards lawyers, litigants and the public, knowledge of law and his contributions to law and jurisprudence...
Aside from being the executive judge, he was also designated to hear and decide electoral protests as well as assigned to handle a special environment court.
Virtudazo is a self-made man as he pursued his college education as a striver at the University of Bohol where he completed his bachelor of laws in 1982. He passed the bar examinations at the Manuel L Quezon University on the same year with a rating of 80.725%. He was a consistent scholar graduating valedictorian at the Faraon Barangay High School.
Presently, he is a part time instructor atof the UB College of Businsss and Accountancy.
The awardee balanced his activities by being active also in church related activities.
He is a facilitator of Family & Life Apostolate, trustee of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary Foundation, member of Chapel Pastoral Council.
The 51-year old judge is married to Alice Regonas, an employee of the University of Bohol and blessed with three children, Khristian Ray, Justil Val and Alyssa Shiena. - Bohol Chronicle
