Clovis Lopez Nazareno (Bgy. Moto Sur, Loon, Bohol; October 1, 1960- September 4, 2003) studied philosophy and social work in the University of the Philippines, Diliman. His published collections of poetry are For My Friends, 1985 and Dearest Simeon Lugo, 1986.
He had garnered several awards, among them, the 3rd prize in the 1991 Graphic Fiction Awards and the Palanca awards for poetry namely, 3rd prize, 1988, for Horns of the World; 3rd, 1989, for Fear in the World; 1st, 1994, for The Link Immemorial.
He represented the Philippines in the ASEAN Fiction Writers Workshop in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand in 1995.
He attended the UP Writers Workshop in 1985, the Silliman Writers Workshop in 1986, and the Cornelio Faigao Writers Workshop in 1988. Clovis was a local fellow for drama at the UP Creative Writing Center in 1985.
He served as municipal councilor of Loon and worked as researcher of an NGO, the Bohol Integrated Development Foundation, Inc. He was also a columnist of Bohol Times.
