Provincial Director Lucino with senior members of the Department of the Interior and Local Governments

Ma. Louella Lucino was selected to head the Department of Interior and Local Government in the Province of Bohol. After a long service in developing the grass roots in Bohol, and an executive role in the management of the economic initiatives in Mandaue City, Cebu Province, and then later on the Regional DILG Headquarters in Cebu City, she was selected to head Bohol. Madam Lucino holds a law degree, a master's in communication degree, and most importantly, holds the love of her family and her friends in Bohol, Cebu and throughout the areas that she worked and help develop in terms of local governance.

Prov. Director Lucino is from Tagbilaran City, Bohol Province.

Yes, Fr. Roel. Mommy Wella is my aunt. She's my dad's younger sister.

Prior to being DILG Provincial Director of Bohol she was the Head of Commercial Development in Mandaue City, Cebu Province.

When I visited Bohol-Cebu-Leyte last year in 2010, I was given a tour of the DILG Regional Office in Metro Cebu City. Kuyaw kaayo ilang processes and quite vibrant ilang initiatives sa local government building. Most importantly, very humbling to see that women are very capable in heading governmental positions in the Philippines. It beats the stigma that men are supposed to be on the top.

NEW DILG-BOHOL PROVINCIAL DIRECTOR. Governor Edgar Chatto formally introduces DILG-Bohol Provincial Director Louella Lucino and Vice Provincial Director Rustica Mascarinas to the Bohol media. In last Fridayâ€™s â€œKita ug ang Gobernadorâ€ radio program, DILG Provincial Director Lucino briefly outlined the mechanics of the government subsidy to the countryâ€™s transport sector.
