A family home was saved from burning down after roly-poly mum Jenny Marseyâ€™s size 20 KNICKERS were used as a fire blanket.

Son John, 18, was frying bread when the pan caught fire, sending flames up to the ceiling.

Resourceful cousin Darren Lines, 23, grabbed Jennyâ€™s Â£4.99 Marks & Spencer pants from a pile of washing, soaked them in water and flung them over the flames.

Fifteen-stone Jenny, 53, of Hartlepool, Cleveland, said: â€œIâ€™m lucky my knickers are like a parachute! If they were skimpy theyâ€™d have been no use.â€

actualy looking at it from my Queen Size point of view it is not that many x's but it does look like it is flame retardent materials.
In the states some lables have flame retardent chemicles and cloths by law to avoid people from getting burned to death or so bad.

Maybe some of you have never heard of it?
