Police on Thursday said they are hunting a security guard who robbed the pawnshop he was guarding in Manila’s northern suburb of Caloocan City.
A complaint filed by two workers of the Goodyear Pawnshop branch along the Bonifacio Monument Circle in Caloocan said guard Michael Andres took jewelry worth P820,000 (US$16,924) and P130,000 (US$2,683) cash from the shop after tying them up on Wednesday.
One of the pawnshop clerks, 25-year-old Riolyn Palmero, said he was with cashier Jeany Vasquez inside a room where the vault was located when Andres duty knocked at the door.
Since Andres was the guard on duty, they opened the door and were surprised when he pointed his firearm at them and ordered them to lock themselves inside the toilet. - GMANews.tv
