Monks Going Green: A Beer Bottle Temple

Look closely at this Buddhist temple in Khun Han, Thailand. Notice anything unusual? It's constructed of thousands of beer bottles. Buddhist monks used the discarded bottles to build the Wat Pa Maha Chedi Kaew temple, also called the "Temple of a Million Bottles."

I don't think I have seen this in Thailand.  Sayang, I wanted to see this kay interesting kaayo.

Dili man baho pero ngilngig lang.  Dili diay luod ang term.  Naka witness naman gud ko sa Davao City sa mga crocodiles during feeding time.  Basta lagi na luya akong tuhod ga tan-aw na i itsa lang manok ug mga dead na baktin ipakaon sa dagkong crocodiles.

The green facade provides the temple an aesthetic character.

The green stream isn't due to the green tiling, the dark green water is due to eutrophication, a direct result of excessive nitrogen to phosphorus ratio. A result of uncontrolled nutrient loading.
