Girl Willing to Die for an iPod
« on: May 20, 2009, 05:58:43 AM »
Police said a teenager was hit by a pickup truck when she ran into a Tampa street to retrieve an iPod.

Tampa police said the 16-year-old was crossing the street Tuesday morning when she dropped the electronic device. She went back to grab it off the roadway, and that's when she was hit by the truck.

The girl was being evaluated after the collision to determine whether she had suffered a broken leg. She was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The names of the girl and the driver weren't immediately released. - Wesh Orland

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

I don't think the girl was really, really willing to die for the iPod.  When she dropped it, instinct naman jud na puniton dayon without thinking na naay sakyanan.  I am glad the girl didn't really die.

Na remember nko some years back when i was still in Davao, a young mother picked up her daughter from school and they were crossing the street when the girl dropped her toy.  She instantly freed herself from her Mom's grip and ran to pick up the toy only to be hit by a car.  Patay tawon.
