Update:
Over 2,000 Georgians have been killed so far due to the Russian invasion. This number is rising as we speak.
Wars have never been pretty.
But if we try to be a little objective here, Georgia should not have started shooting russian citizens in east-ossetia the day before the Russian joined the war. But I guess Georgia relied too much on the western world to come them in support. Personally I know an injustice when I see one. And I doubt we can blame Russia for it.
When that is said, we have other countries in the world doing the same thing as Russia did - but then with US and western support. Israel is occupying Palestian territories for 50-60 years. Land granted to them by UN in the 1940s. US invaded iraq based on a lie in 2003. Russia protects their own citizens, and now those two outbreak republics wants to join the Russian Federation after having been suppressed for a long time..
To be honest: When all comes to all its all about politic. Never about fairness.
Sad really. :/
