Cebu is obviously trying to have it all--heavy industry, commerce, education, tourism... I hope our leaders in Bohol would not pursue so diffuse a development track.
Since we are blessed with a paradise, will be better off taking advantage of our natural endowments. To protect our fragile environment, which is our comparative advantage, we should pursue eco-, educational, medical tourism and service industry as the engine of growth...
Our biodiversity is one of the greatest in the world... I am afraid with the green lights now on for the Panglao International Airport, this rich marine life will be threatened.
