There are a plethora of reasons why I Love Valencia. So many things come to mind:
1. My family, relatives, friends.
2. My Lolo Ciano. Who said to me when he saw me with his own eyes this past July, and said it with perfect English, "I have
been waiting for you...."

I love you, Lolo...
3. The livelihood of the town. There's always something to do in the morning, someone is always inquiring about something, entertainment and visitors that come knocking..lol
4. Everyone seems to know everyone. When I was in Valencia, I was amazed at the fact that tho I did not recognize many people (except my immediate family and close friends) they knew who I was, and always referred to my relation to family.
per se, when I was in the Marketplace, I went with my cousins, friends, and people and people selling material would ask, 'Doy anak ka ni Liza no? Doy, apo ka ni Nong Ciano, no?' hehehe! Or , "Doy liwat man ka sa imong papa! Doy asa naman imong mommy ug daddy? Kamusta naman imohang mga igsoon? Mo balik ba sila sa atong pinanggang Valencia?'

5. The History and the Family Relation.
per se, this summer, i attended the birthday of my Tito Jan Palaca, and also was introduced to Dr. Plenio Lim, a local doctor and a former Mayor of Valencia. He was great friends with my late Lola Nating. After asking about my studies in medicine, he asked about my family and then after a lengthy introduction, he began to tell me about my Lola. My lola was Chinese , raised in China by my Chinese great-grandfather, so Dr. Lim would tell me that "Your Lola did not know how to speak Bisaya before, only after your Lolo Mariano brought her and her brothers and sisters back here to Valencia did your Lola learn to speak Bisaya!"
He would tell me how his mother was good friends with my great-grandfather, the late Mr. Mariano Tan (TAN NGAI HE) and that my Lolo would talk to Dr. Lim's parents in Chinese kono. hehehe.
Dr. Lim made me smile in saying that, 'Your Lola was very beautiful, doy! Pure Chinese beauty...pure chinese beauty jud!' ha ha ha.
6. The Enviroment, the Location
-I just feel so at home when I drive back to Valencia. There is no explaining this sense of 'Home' when I am there.
