Dear brothers and sisters from Valencia,

I would like to create a thread that names all the mayors of the town of Valencia.

Can you guys share with us the names of the mayors that presided over our town (from first to current).

Hehehe Dr. Plinio Lim. I had the chance meeting of Dr. Plinio Lim this summer at my Tito Jan Palaca's Birthday Party. I was formally introduced to him and his wife. He is the father of my godmother (maninay), Tita Mae. He knew so much about my Lola Nating! His mother was good friends with my late great-grandmother, anhing Mrs. Gabina I. Tan, and my great-grandfather, Mr. Mariano Tan.

He's a good man.

I remember in my youth, my Lola Nating would take me with her to visit Dr. Plinio Lim's house. His mother was really good friends with my Lola and they used to talk to each other in Chinese. hahaha. I would sit in the chair listening to them talk and would pick out the bisaya words and then out of a sudden they would revert to Chinese. My Lola, who was very fluent in Cantonese, would mix chinese with binisayang bolanon hahaha. Tagaan pood mi ug candy and before leaving, I remember the Amen to our hostess. Kalingaw to sila mag rat-tat-tat sa una. Especially my Lola who would always call her over to our house in Valencia.

hehe, naka hinumdum pood ko da.
