In true martial arts; which follows Ying Yang concept (good and evil, counterbalance between the two), there is a notion that we all have the capability in being good, and being evil.
Martial Arts schools: be they Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Do, Soo Bahk Do, Judo, Karate etc, they follow that basic stance.
Which is YING YANG. A good student and pupil will hold back his temper, and practice restraint. As martial arts wasn't produced to hurt or harm, but was created as a means of self defense.
When a student starts to use his skills, for methods to harm people willfully, to hurt others for self benefit, that means the student's Ying Yang has already changed. Yang dominates over the student's inner Ying. (ying being good, and yang being evil).
Students wear Ying outfits (White) because that is the goal. To be a good student, pupil, understanding, peaceful, and restraint.
