In accord with the town's leadership policy thrust of providing free secondary education to the least of our brethren, Governor Aumentado inaugurated on Saturday the new Mayor Pablo O. Lim Memorial High School in Marawis, a mountain barangay located some kilometers away from the town proper.
The school is named after the late mayor Pablo O. Lim, patriarch of the cash rich Lim family that ruled the town for more than two (2) decades, a key ally and campaign contributor of the Governor.
Before the establishment of the said school, the town has only one public high school serving its mountain barangays bounding with interior towns as far as bilar and carmen. The school is particularly a good news to our students from the said barangays as not only will it enable them to save on expenses in going to and from school, they will also be able to stay with their families as some of them are forced to rent rooms in the town proper just to finish high school.
