The Local Government Unit of Tubigon launched Tanda ta Bai! Art exhibits and workshops last February 25, 2023 in Bazak Food Park, Tinangnan, Tubigon, Bohol in line with the celebration of the National Arts Month 2023.
It was presented by the Tubigon Visual Arts Guild, in collaboration with PISKAY Arts Group,Bazak food park and the Tubigon Culture, Arts and Heritage Office headed by Mark Robe Antiporta.
The Art workshop was participated by the students from the different schools in Tubigon, namely Tubigon West Central High School, Mater Dei College, Holy Cross Academy, Salus Institute of Technology, Cawayanan High School and Bright Minds Learning Center.
The Art exhibit showcased the obra maestra of the different artist from Tubigon as well as from Tagbilaran city and other municipalities. The exhibit will run from February 25-March 11, 2023.
The formal opening and ribbon cutting of the Tanda ta Bai Art Exhibit was led by Hon. Delia Lasco, SB member and Vice-Chairperson on Committee on Culture and Arts, Emil John Valzado, the event coordinator and artistic director; Ma. Trina Sumayang representing Bazak Food Park; and Joey Labrador, the head of Piskay Arts Group.
Cultural performances were presented by the Lungsoranon Performing Arts ensemble of Holy Cross Academy.
A similar workshop was also conducted last February 26,2023 by Piskay Arts Group in the island-barangay of Pangapasan and was participated by the elementary pupils and some high school students to inculcate environmental conservation and climate resilience. This was made possible due to the effort of Rex Ruiz of EarthED PH, SK Chairman Gerry Boligao, DepEd Pangapasan Florida Fuentes and the barangay council of Pangapasan.
