Believed to have been depressed from a misunderstanding with his wife, a 34-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself with a nylon rope from a Santol tree early morning of July 7 in barangay Ubujan, Tubigon.
Based on police report, one Asterio Junasa of Sitio Malisod, Barangay Ubujan called up the municipal police station to report the incident.
On this, the police sent a team composed of three personnel to investigate the report, together with Municipal Health Officer Bob Batausa.
Dr. Batausa conducted an autopsy on the body of the victim, Jonathan Tapayan, a resident of Barangay Pinayagan Sur.
According to the victim’s father, Ernesto Tapayan, he had observed that his son was so depressed in the last few days before the incident, following a misunderstanding with his wife, Rowena.
