The Nike Volleyball Camp at The Gym is set to run in June and will be directed by Southern University Head Volleyball Coach, Vanessa Jacobs. This will be Jacob's first time running a Nike Sports Camp, however, she is no stranger to volleyball as she has over 30 years of experience under her belt that includes DI coaching and collegiate playing.
This new Texas volleyball camp will be hosted at The Gym, a state-of-the-art facility in Humble. Players will train on multiple courts with Jacobs and her staff that may consist of college, club, or high school coaches. Two programs will be offered, an All Skills camp that focuses on all aspects of volleyball, and a Serving Clinic which allows players to focus on their serve.
“This location is very exciting for us,” states Siera Love, VP of Nike Volleyball Camps. “We are now able to reach more players and provide them the opportunity to get better with excellent coaching!”
These new programs are open to girls, ages 8-16, of all ability levels. Under Jacobs instruction, players will undergo various drills that incorporate team concepts and live gameplay, and also learn how to become a better teammate.
The All Skills camp is set to run on June 1-4, and the Serving Clinic will follow on June 5.
