The humble Namibian San Nxau Toma starred in the South African blockbuster "The God's must be crazy" in 1980 and1989 sequel & was paid a mere 300 USD for a movie that grossed over 60 Million USD made with a budget of 5 Million USD. Nxau was paid less for his first role but after discovering the value of money he negotiated a value of 50 thousand USD for his second sequel, arguably still a small amount compared to what the movie made.
