Thirty-two flights to Caticlan Airport were cancelled after a Zest Air (formerly Asian Spirit) flight overshot a runway Thursday morning.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) suspended flights to Caticlan until 6 p.m. Thursday.
In a statement, Cebu Pacific said its 10 flights (Manila-Caticlan-Manila) were cancelled due to the airport's closure.
Cebu Pacific said it has dispatched an Airbus A319 to accommodate the affected passengers.
The Zest Air flight Z2-863 with tail number RPC 8992 exceeded the airport's Runway 6 at 7:43 a.m.
The CAAP said one of the plane's tires blew up and its noose gear got stuck on the runway, but no one was injured.
The plane had 54 passengers, one flight mechanic, and four crew.
The CAAP was forced to cancel flights to Caticlan as it ordered an investigation into the incident.
