Met Christine Gambito, her Italian Am husband and kid, and the rest of her Filipino side of her family when I visited Virginia Beach, VA in March of 2007 last year. She had just moved back there to her childhood home from living here in New York City on Roosevelt Island in the East River for many years.

Spent more time talking to her mom than her tho since she was a star of the show and mobbed by the crowd at the Fil Am Biznet Expo held there annually. Unlike many of us, she had never been to the Philippines before this visit. More on her at http://happyslip.com, her personal website!

As a Fil Am actor, she was recently chosen by the Philippine Dept of Tourism for a FREE trip to the RP as sort of an ambassador to the Internet and America (a hopefully wise choice of RP taxpayers funds?) to promote tourism to the RP, especially for the decedents of the diaspora like her who have never been back to the old country. Lucky for us, a major part of her trip there was to Bohol!
