Layo ang Sogod to Maasin. Here are the recommended routes:
Sogod to Bato via Bontoc (bus or private vehicle, 45 minutes) + Bato to Ubay (roll-on, roll-off or RORO, 3 hours) + Ubay to Tagbilaran (van, P120, about 2 hours; or bus, P90-100, about 3 hours). Note: MegaBuses from Cubao go direct to Tagbilaran via this route. They pass by the terminal in Sogod.
If via Cebu: Sogod to either Bato, Hilongos, Baybay or Ormoc. All ports of entry have evening trips to Cebu. Hilongos and Ormoc also have daytime trips. Cebu to Tagbilaran via fastcraft (pier 1 or pier 4, P700, 1.5 hours), or Cebu to Tubigon via the regular boats (Pier 3, P200, 2 hours) or fastcraft (pier 1, P200, 45 minutes). Tubigon to Tagbilaran by bus (P60, 1.5 hours) or van (P90, 50 minutes). Lately, because of stiff competition (like the entry of the fastcraft), some shipping companies offer free transport (yes, FREE!) or much reduced fare. The Cebu-Tubigon route has the most number of schedules, I think more than ten round trips a day! Puno kanunay ilabi na kon pista, Semana Santa, Adlaw sa mga Patay, Pasko. Hapit na Mayo, dali na kamo!
