Cebu Pacific (CEB) is set to increase its direct flights from Cebu to Singapore from a four times weekly service to a daily service starting Oct. 31.

The airline currently flies every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from Cebu to Singapore.

This is on top of daily flights from Clark starting Oct. 29 and four times daily flights from Manila starting Dec. 17.

“Singapore was our most popular Southeast Asian destination last year, and the Changi Airport even awarded CEB last July as the top Southeast Asian airline registering the highest growth in passenger traffic for 2009,” said CEB VP for marketing and distribution Candice Iyog.

According to the company, it flew approximately 375,000 passengers to Singapore, more than any other CEB Southeast Asian destination such as Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Bangkok and Jakarta.

“This demand for CEB’s high quality, low fare travel product prompted us to add three more Cebu-Singapore direct flights. We encourage guests to book early to avail themselves of our lowest year-round two-way fare for this route, which is lower than other airlines,” she said.

She said Singapore has a lot of events and new places in store for travelers, such as the Singapore Sun Festival from Oct. 29-Nov. 7, entertainment destinations Resorts World Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands, and even Asia’s largest beach party with ZoukOut 2010 on Dec. 11.

The lowest year-round ‘Go Lite’ one-way fares to Singapore are P1,699 from Clark and Manila, and P2,999 from Cebu.

The lowest possible round-trip ‘Go Lite’ fare from Cebu to Singapore, inclusive of Singapore taxes and surcharges is P6,495. (PNA)
