When will I learn my lesson because time and time again I always get caught with this whole "what not to wear while passing through airport security thing." I was on my way to Ireland the other day and while waiting in line at Heathrow airport security I heard this sound, a sound that send a signal to the airport screener that I have something on me that is illegal. Okay guilty as charge, no! not illegal guilty but the belt buckle and my necklace pendant that caused a stir. Oh yeah, the people behind me were cursing my name in vein.
So I will try to take my own advice and share some with you.
List of few things not to wear or take it out of pocket for the sake of airport security customs check.
_Heavy jewelry
_Belt buckles
_Clothing with metal buttons
_Hidden items such as body piercing
_Metal items such as keys, loose change, mobile phone, pager, PDAs are out of pockets.
_Computer needed to be taken out of the bag and ready to have it turn on without advance notice.
_Coat, handbag and anything handcarry be put inside the plastic bin for electronic check.
_Ready to remove your shoes ... though at my latest experienced I did not have to do it.
