The first Chocolate Festival in the country is proposed to be held at the world famous Chocolate Hills during the fiesta month of May this year.
This is a major tourism event which will highlight Bohol in this year’s of events as far as promotions are concerned, according to Peter Dejaresco, chairman of the Provincial Tourism Council during meeting with Carmen Mayor Boy Molina last Tuesday.
The meeting was also attended by Resti Z. Reyes and Patrick Añonuevo of Mediatrade Exchange, Inc., Jeanette Reyes and Reynaldo Borromeo of GATCHIE and Partners; Carmen kagawad Primo Digao, chair for committee on special events; Carmen First Lady Grace D. Molina; Felipe Ramo Sr., executive assistant IV; Thelma Bag-ao and barangay affairs coordinator Teofilo Villasquina.
The concept paper is being finalized by Reyes, President of the Manila-based advertising agency, Mediatrade, which will design the promotional impact of the event.
Reyes said that chocolate manufacturers as well as other sectors involved in the chocolate business in the country will be invited to grace the Choco Festival to feature their products in a showcase of chocolates, including home-grown choco products from various provinces.
