An executive of Quest Hotels, an Indonesian-based hotel chain, said the firm has chosen Cebu as its first location in the Philippines to help develop the province as a tourist destination in Asia.
Quest Hotels area general manager James M. Montenegro said the Cebu City hotel, which was launched last week, is a three-star hotel with at least 400 rooms.
He said it’s a perfect opportunity to help develop Cebu as a tourist destination in Asia, and that travelers should not have to pay US$ 100 per night at a hotel.
The Quest Hotel and Convention Center is part of the Quest Properties-Indonesia managed by Filinvest Corp. and situated in a Filinvest-owned property, beside its condominium tower project, on Archbishop Reyes ave., Cebu City, right across the Cebu Business District.
Montenegro said he expected that 80 percent of Quest’s market would be local corporate clients.
The hotel is positioning itself as a world-class, yet pocket-friendly establishment that bridges the gap between hotel categories in Cebu when it comes to cost.
Its amenities include a restaurant, pool, meeting rooms, and clean, comfortable rooms.
The goal is to establish brand awareness of Quest Hotel in the first year and eventually increase its value in the long run, Montenegro said. - by pna.gov.ph
