DOT is acting idiot again. Foreigners don't understand Tagalog. Why not use "Wow Philippines" or just "Beautiful Philippines." In Thailand, their tourism department has a very successful slogan, "Amazing Thailand." They don't use a Thai word, but English. DOT, dili mo ka-gets ana? Just use English.
I dunno what's up with DOT regarding the issue, but it pissed me off looking or hearing about the logo "Pilipinas kay Ganda". if they want to have a good logo to attract tourists, they must have it in English since it's a universal language and, speaking about what they bragged about having the logo thought over for months and the outcome looks more of a copy of Polska Logo, it's ridiculous. Having a brainstorming for a number of months and seeing the logo, man, even a highschooler can give better output than that. Calling out more creativity!
