Soren Andreasen, 33, a geology student from Copenhagen, with his 10-month-old daughter, Lucca: ''My wife is a nurse, and in Denmark, women can stay at home to take care of newborns for one year. So I took a few months off university, we rented out our apartment, and we just traveled around the Philippines for three months with Lucca and our 5-year-old son. It was a bit tough since Lucca woke up so early every morning because of the heat. I didn't necessarily want to be up that early. But when I went out and I sat there on the beach, it was amazing to be there so early in the morning, to see all those fishermen coming out as the sun was coming up, just me and my daughter.
