A vacationing Filipino-American grandma reported of her horrible experience getting ripped off at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) both flying in and out. 71-year old Evelyn Brazie who was travelling on a wheelchair alleged that flying in from New York, she was asked for some cash by the person who was wheeling her around.
Brazie was also made to pay three thousand five hundred pesos she considers as 'grease money' because the attendant who got her to pay was very secretive about it and did not give any receipts. The attendants later on claimed that she had overweighed baggage and she wondered why she wasn't told about it before she was made to pay. NAIA Manager Octavio Lina expressed his eagerness to conduct an investigations regarding the incident but clarified that airline staff are the ones who come into direct contact with passengers at check-in, not the airport officials.
