Purbida ning Amerika, we had served them, Filipino scouts fight together with American soldiers. We are hard workers, the first immigrants were Pineapple pickers in Hawaii.
We open our territory if they come here, this should be reciprocated.
The way they questioned the Filipinos for a visa morag second class citizens.

I hope those who are wishing to go there, lots of luck to you.

Last Monday, I was on a send-off trip to Manila.  Seeing a flock of outbound tourists last Monday to the US at the NAIA was overwhelming. Maayo gani tong akong gihatud kay akong na brief in terms of personal IDs and work leave authorizations, etc. Wa ka demano sa pag fill-up sa form I-94 and the actual interview sa port of entry.  Doubtful ang intention and a conflicting answers with that of the forms they filled-up and a doubtful port of entry with the persons they are staying with.  AND the actual reason in the applicant's DS-156 (now DS 160) is also verified.  Grabe ka strikto na ang US karon labina na nga naa na puy mga threats didto last week (NY bmb scare, neal vinas case, etc).

On a side note.  PAL is still offering 1 free roundtrip ticket to the US with USD 500 allowance for passengers who will give-up their seats for chance passengers  (VIPs, diplomats, etc).  Once you give-up your seat for them, you will be scheduled for another flight schedule (earliest would be next day).    ;)

Fore !

Tagsa ray single entry karon halos 10 years na. Suerte pud kay naka kuha man ug GCard.   Naa sab anak sa akong kaila bag-ong graduate naka kuha ug 10 yr tourist visa.  Gi invite sa iyang amiga didto.  Pag abot sa port of entry na secondary interrogate ug gipa ablihan ang luggage ug nakita ang school transcript of records ug diploma.  Gipangutana unsa purpose naka tug-an ang bata na mag apply sya ug trabajo.  Outright sya gi deport.

Right, dili sure na bisan naka landing naka daghan pa mahitabo mao kulba kulba "kono" gihapon.

Sayop ang tsismis na imong nadunggan sir.

* There were an estimated 10.8 million illegal immigrants living in the United States on January 1, 2009.

* Most were from Latin America, with some 6.7 million from Mexico and 1.33 million from Central American nations El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.

An article about us in the list :

US: 7% fewer illegal immigrants last year
Agence France-Presse
Posted at 02/10/2010 1:18 PM | Updated as of 02/10/2010 1:18 PM

WASHINGTON - The number of illegal immigrants in the United States fell by 7% last year to 10.8 million, coinciding with the country's financial crisis, a Department of Homeland Security report said Tuesday.

The majority of the country's illegal immigrants come from Latin America, with 62% from Mexico (6.7 million), followed by those from El Salvador (530,000), Guatemala (480,000) and Honduras (320,000).

Together with Filipinos (270,000), Latin Americans accounted for 85% of all illegal immigrants in the United States in 2009, the DHS report said.

the number of filipinos mentioned is significant enough to be included in the news item.  that's what i meant by "...merit attention".  any government's attention was farthest from my mind.

So what's the purpose of including such topic on the news?  Just for attention?

So what's the purpose of including such topic on the news?  Just for attention?

as i have said, the purpose is latent in the significant number.  any news writer worth his salt would include it for the sake of the report's completeness.  for one thing, the number of filipinos mentioned is 50k short of 4th placer honduras.  that is significant enough.

the attention it has gotten, specifically from tb (because it was posted here) and especially from you, is an unintended consequence.

"Kaparat man gud sa Pinoy mamaayo man or madautan, ganahan iapil ang kaugalingon...", as you earlier claimed, is somewhat a long shot because the news item happened to be sourced by abs-cbn from an agence france-presse report, datelined washington, both of which obviously are not filipino.  so what filipino here is asking for attention?

Hi Everyone need lang ng advice here tungkol sa pagkuha ng visitor visa is it really important to an applicant to have a show money before makakuha ng visa? magkano ba dapat ang ipakita? and is it important to meet your friends in person first before visiting to the country? thanks to all hope anyone here can give me an answer at sana ay may makapag bigay ng sagot sa akin kung pewde po sana sa email ko din thank thank thank you po talaga

Sometimes they don't ask for show money. Just be prepared but don't volunteer to show your show money unless you are asked. As I see it, the visa is granted or denied based on the interviewer's assessment whether you have any reason to return to your home country or take a chance to stay in the US illegally.
