i dont have any personal favorite, but i do have a list for most preferred anti-virus software

1. McAfee Enterprise 8.0i (or higher) - enterprise level mobile computing
2. Trendmicro OfficeScan - good for enterprise desktops (light, not memory intensive anti-virus)
3. Norton - secured enough to handle personal desktops/notebooks

others....
AVG
Panda
ug uban pa...

I used to be a die-hard Norton anti-virus follower but not until I found NOD32. I tried McAfee but it's too heavy.

Yet I am wishing to have a Kaspersky anti-virus installed in my computer. Security experts have concluded that Kaspersky anti-virus is the best today.

Yet I am wishing to have a Kaspersky anti-virus installed in my computer. Security experts have concluded that Kaspersky anti-virus is the best today.

NOD32 is very popular in European countries, been to Czech Republic ug ang mga users didto nag-push namo to use NOD32 but due to company standards and policy McAfee was implemented.

Kaspersky was once tested but failed in some part nga amoa gipangita for enterprise level implementation. For speed over network is very good, pero ang problema lang kay ang iyang style sa pag-update will cause bottleneck sa amoa server.

G@len, it's the best so far for me. even better than Kaspersky. and it's not resource hungry. it has a gaming mode and updates every 15 minutes which gives u lesser chance of virus infection

I'm still Norton, everytime I renewed it, it's comes pretty easy. I guess I stick with it for less stress, unless if it could no longer treat tough job. Then, I have to change. For now, it's working pretty good, no fuss.

Deep Freeze instantly protects and preserves baseline computer configurations. No matter what changes a user makes to a workstation, simply restart to eradicate all changes and reset the computer to its original state - right down to the last byte. Expensive computer assets are kept running at 100% capacity and technical support time is reduced or eliminated completely. The result is consistent trouble-free computing on a truly protected and parallel network, completely free of harmful viruses and unwanted programs.

While Deep Freeze provides bulletproof protection, its non-restrictive approach also improves user productivity and satisfaction. Placing no restrictions on a user's ability to access all system resources, users avoid the frustration of downtime due to software conflicts, operating system corruption, virus attacks, and many other problems. Users are always assured of computers that are consistently operable and available.

Deep Freeze is currently available in two editions for Windows: Standard and Enterprise. Each edition has been designed with features and capabilities to suit the needs of any environment. Mac OS X, Linux, and Windows Server editions are also available.

Deep Freeze Standard

Deep Freeze Standard is changing the way IT Professionals protect small multi-user environments. Simple, robust, and cost effective, Deep Freeze Standard is ideal for computing environments with 10 or less workstations or for environments that don't require central management or control.

Absolute Protection

    * Guarantees 100% workstation recovery on restart
    * Provides password protection and complete security
    * Protects multiple hard drives and partitions

Integration and Compatibility

    * Supports multiple hard drives and partitions
    * Supports multi-boot environments
    * Compatible with Fast User Switching
    * Supports SCSI, ATA, SATA, and IDE hard drives
    * Single install for Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP and Vista
    * Supports FAT, FAT32, NTFS, basic and dynamic disks
    * Localized in five languages: English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese

Deployment Options

    * Offers silent install option for rapid network deployment
    * Provides option to deploy on multiple workstations as part of a master image
    * DFC included in Workstation/Seed installations

I used to be a die-hard Norton anti-virus follower but not until I found NOD32. I tried McAfee but it's too heavy.

Yet I am wishing to have a Kaspersky anti-virus installed in my computer. Security experts have concluded that Kaspersky anti-virus is the best today.

yeah Kaspersky  boast to have a more powerful scanning engine than Norton

as i've said, its TrendMicro solutions not just a specific TM product. ;) yeah, i agree with you, there are some products of TM that really sucks and even ang tech support nila nga tagaManila maglisud ug support.

anyway, i have my own set of needs... you might have your own different sets of needs same goes with other users.  ;D so if you're satisfied with your current antivirus, ma-proprietary man or opensource, why change...

just my 2SGD cents.
