Tech AnalysisGoogle has been doing a lot of revolutionary things lately.
Some of its latest moves have shaken the knees of
Microsoft as Google's web applications are seemed on a
shoot-to-kill mission, targeting, though not explicitly, Microsoft's
greatest asset, the Windows Desktop.
Google has brought down the supremacy of its older brother Yahoo,
trampling many of Yahoo's once popular tools such as e-mail, messenger,
search engine, etc. It is not surprising that Google may also
wipe out Microsoft's profits given Google's crazy and wild
innovations, hitting the tires of other web companies.
While Yahoo has gone into webhosting business, which is not
that popular and reliable because of speed and reliability
issues, Google as far as I know has not walked into the doors
of the webhosting industry.
If Google would go into the webhosting business, will Google
become the last and greatest fear of the thousands of webhosting
companies all over the world?
Google has tons of money that it can launch a web hosting venture
anytime it wants. And if that happens, thousands of webhosting companies
may entertain fearsome thoughts on either closing business or fighting Google
with a mad-dog stamina.
For me, Google has to consider that every time it launches a new venture,
some would benefit out of it and some would weep over it.
If Google, God forbids, would go into webhosting, how many thousands of web
hosting employees will lose jobs? How many hundreds of webhosting
companies will shut down their business?
If creating a new Google business will bring more tears than laughters
to thousands of individuals and families whose incomes are dependent
on webhosting business, then
Google should not stand as an evil persona
to the webhosting industry.Hosting companies like
Lunarpages (Visit them HERE) has to take time to think about this scenario.
