The FDM Disaster

The FDM is a powerful tool for speeding up your Internet download activity. Using FDM can increase your download speed 400 times faster than the normal speed.

Recently FDM upgraded to a higher version which I thought was better than the previous version. But I was wrong.

When I integrated FDM into Firefox, Firefox crashed every time I downloaded a file of any size. It wasn't like that with the previous FDM version. It was all smooth and harmonious.

I tried to uninstall FDM but it refused to go away from my computer. I used CCleaner, a third-party tool, to uninstall FDM but my computer stopped breathing.

My last recourse: I implemented a system restore. Bye, bye, FDM.

I checked my computer. Ahh, I forgot I had a Feedreader containing tons of feeds which I manually added - they were all gone now.  :'( Bye, bye, Feedreader.

Back to zero. Install Feedreader again and place manually all favorite RSS feeds.

Lesson: A disaster can lead to another disaster if we don't have the perfect solution. :)

mao sad na nakadaut sa akong norton 2006 b4. now im using Free Download Manager, not as fast as DAP but its faster than firefox and IE.

you're welcome, galen.

ayaw gyud ug upgrade so you can avert a sure disaster.

same thing with Internet Explorer. If you upgrade to IE 7, your computer life will be messed up.

tubag bohol has no XHTML and CSS errors but if you browse Tubag Bohol with IE 7, you'd get a message from IE 7 that this site contains page errors.

Internet Explorer 7 is a disaster in perpetual progress.

I SO HATE IE7 !!! i upgraded because i thought it was better but then, everytime i close a tab, just a tab, everything would shut down!!!! i revert to an older version of IE, i don't know which IE i have now.

would you guys advice firefox?

Civilized, normal, and sane computer users never use Internet Explorer. All hijacks and virus-infestation have been blamed on Internet Explorer.

Try Firefox, Riva. And your life will never be the same again.
