Cannon Group, a business consulting and IT management firm, has just announced the appointment of Owen McGirr to vice president, Business Development. In this role, McGirr will lead a team of network and IT experts in the delivery of solutions focused on customers’ business needs in the areas of critical sourcing and negotiation, communications expense management and managed IT.
Before joining Cannon Group, McGirr was Northeast Area VP of Sales with AT&T where he managed large, global manufacturing accounts. During his 17 years with the telecommunications giant, McGirr partnered with customers and business partners to deliver market-disrupting technologies, including SD-WAN, cloud, IoT, VOIP and more.
Previously, McGirr enjoyed a successful 10-year tenure with Sprint in a number of roles, including data sales territory manager, global account manager and global account director. His consistent success earned him several recognitions, including the Top Data Sales Territory Manager distinction, High Performer designations and more.
